Oak for ages was highly valued as a reliable building material for it's unique properties. It's density and high tannin content are essential components that makes it not only hard, but also very resistant to decay. When oak is left to dry naturally (we call it air dry) it does not loose as much tannic acid as compare to seasoning and that is very important when oak is used outdoors. For additional protection and to enhance the natural beauty of oak we use natural products like tung oil or lin seed oil.
All of our Hardwood Garden Furniture is hand made using mostly 40 mm thick oak boards to guarantee strength, durability and long lastingness.
Our Hardwood Garden Furniture is ready assembled and rather heavy. If you do concern about where to put it away during the cold and unpleasant season of the year, we would recommend to cover and leave outside where you normaly keep it.
